As of Friday, February 25th the event organizers and SAE International have decided to require wearing masks while indoors at the 2022 SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge competition to ensure the safety of all participants and their families. Indoor facilities include Team Paddock/Tech Inspection areas, In-Service Emissions area, and Spectator Viewing areas at the World Championship Derby Complex and the Northland Pines High School where the rules dinner will be hosted.

While outdoors, participants are not required to wear masks.
