As we enter the 2020-2021 season, we want to take this opportunity to promote some exciting new developments and changes that you can expect to see moving forward!
Portfolio Expansion
The Collegiate Design Series has been working behind the scenes to create new programs in expanding our portfolio to reach new areas of mobility technology.
Shifting Resources Internally
CDS is in the process of shifting resources to be able to grow and expand existing programs in addition to expanding our portfolio. This means that you will be introduced to some new talent working on the programs, with committees, and with teams in 2021.
Universities COVID-19 Positioning
We are aware of the current higher education systems’ fluctuating policies. We will be reaching out to faculty soon to inquire on their respective university’s fall plans so that we can closely prepare precautions and plans for the 2021 season for a variety of situations.
While we transitioned to a virtual season for 2020, our development teams were working tirelessly behind the scenes on projects that will directly impact your SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge experience for the 2021 season. We are excited to share many more projects to come like a significant data privacy overhaul, expanding the ways industry can engage with you, and a brand new way to navigate around www.saecleansnowmobile.com.
Transitioning into the 2021 Season
As we move throughout summer, you will begin to see updates to the www.sae.org webpages. In August, the CDS team will begin setting up the 2021 events behind the scenes in preparation for fall registration at www.sae.org. Details regarding next year’s location and dates, online registration dates and pre-registration guidelines will be shared on the news feed in in the coming months. Also, we plan to host a registration walk-through WebEx session to give teams (new teams in particular!) a sneak peek at how the online registration process will work this year.
Be sure to stay tuned to the news feed for detailed updates and announcements regarding 2021.
