Position Title: Objective and Subjective Noise Volunteers
Position Description: Volunteers working in the objective and subjective noise events will assist assigned Event Captain with event operations.
For Objective Noise, this could involve but not limited to setting up the event, staging vehicles at start line, assisting with flagging, and any administrative tasks while event captain is monitoring noise equipment operations.
For the Subjective Noise, this will involve volunteers participating as a “blind jury”. Jury members will evaluate and grade the playback files captured during objective noise event.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications/ Experience: Volunteers should not have hearing sensitivity or have any objections to wearing headphones.
SAE CSC experience is not required but preferred.
Orientation and Training: Onsite training led by the Event Captain.
Work Conducted via onsite
Time Commitment: 1 day
SAE Members only: Membership not required.
